Processed & ready to eat food has eliminated our culture of cooking. It is easy to forget real methods which are natural. After some days we might forgot the names of vegetables which generally do not come in processed food. To keep alive our methods we must teach all these basic skills to our next generation :
We all have some skills , we all can cook but there are some basic skills required for cooking . Here I am representing you basic skills of cooking:
Chopping : Handling knife & cutting vegetables in required shape & quantity is the basic skill of cooking. Many ladies do not know what is difference in cutting & chopping . mastering chopping & cutting make cooking better.
Sear : searing is act of grilling & boiling to the required amount at specific point. Heating the pan properly & putting stuff in it for grilling needs patience & expertise.
Saute : Sautéing is more delicate than searing. It is used to soften & making brown vegetables. It is stage that between roasting boiling & burning.
Emulsify : It’s the method of combining liquid with other stuff like oil Vinagar. You wont like to eat where oil is spread out. Once you learn your temperatures its easy for you to do Emulsify.
Blanch and shock : Boiling & soaking are the tricky tricks of cooking. If you soak bitten rice longer it become chive & if you don’t boiled frozen peas it wont taste good.
